This month’s launch, which was originally scheduled for 7/10, is going to be postponed due to weather. We are hoping to launch again on Sunday, 7/18. Keep checking our facebook page or www.rimra.org for more updates.

RIMRA will launch again at 9:00 am on Saturday, July 10 at Peckham Farm. All rockets flying below 3000 ft on anything from A to K motors are welcome.

Please check the launch protocols on this page for details. We will begin setting up at 9:00 and will start launching shortly thereafter, and we usually keep launching until early afternoon. Esther’s Engines will be at the launch to make sure we don’t run out of propellant. She currently has stock of Quest and Aerotech single-use A-I motors.

Spectators, students, and families are always welcome.

The RIMRA launch will be postponed for one day due to rain in the forecast. See you Sunday at 9:00. In the mean time, check out the awesome pics of NASA’s SLS being assembled right now at the Kennedy Space Center. FYI: Estes sells a SLS starter kit, and we’d be happy to launch it anytime at a RIMRA launch.

Esther’s engines will be onsite to help you burn money (though her inventory is running a low due to high demand this year). If you haven’t been to a RIMRA launch yet, be prepared to park your vehicle at the farm and walk with your rockets to the center of the field.

The forecast keeps improving, so we are planning to launch this Saturday, 5/15, at Peckham Farm. We will start at 9:00. Hope to see you there!

The combination of potential rain and Mother’s day has led us to postpone the launch to next week, May 15. Hope to see you then!

It looks like the first launch of the year will be April 10. That means you have one month to finish building and painting your rockets. See you soon on the field!

The scouts will be joining us to launch at 10:00, set-up will be at 9:00 (30 minutes earlier). In order to keep with social distancing policies, we may limit the number of people who can launch. Masks must be worn at all times on URI property.
