The Rhode Island Model Rocket Association (RIMRA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit educational organization operated entirely by volunteers. Your support helps us bring people together to build, learn, and fly while making science, technology, engineering, and mathematics come to life.

Sponsor Hands-On Learning
Help put a rocket kit into a participant’s hands. Based on an estimated materials cost of approximately $35 per participant for a rocket kit, motor, and building supplies, here are examples of the support a gift could provide:

These are estimated materials-cost examples, not workshop registration fees or a guarantee of a particular event. Actual costs vary, and workshops depend on volunteer availability, funding, and scheduling.
Businesses, community organizations, and foundations are invited to discuss sponsoring a workshop or helping fund a broader outreach effort. Contact us to explore the group size, materials needs, timing, and any sponsor acknowledgment before making a project-specific commitment.

Nonprofit & Donation Information
The Rhode Island Model Rocket Association (RIMRA) is a tax-exempt nonprofit educational organization recognized under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Charitable contributions are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.
Unless a specific use is agreed upon in advance, gifts support RIMRA’s educational mission and related operating needs. Please contact us before making a gift restricted to a particular project.
Membership dues, launch fees, and payments for goods or services are separate from the donation options described on this page and are not automatically fully deductible charitable contributions.
